The Saatchi Gallery and Huawei have teamed up to present From Selfie to Self-Expression, an exhibition exploring the history of selfies, and also highlighting the use of smartphones as an artistic medium.

In a world so obsessed with selfies, I was obviously curious about the exhibition, and after my visit, I do have to say that its the best one I’ve been to so far this year. There is nothing more amazing than having some of the greatest artists of all time under one roof. I’m taking Basquiat, Freud, Damien Hist and Frida Khalo, just to name a few. What would a selfie exhibition be without including a few celebrities? From the Kardashians (because unfortunately we can’t talk about selfies and not mention them) to the Hadid sisters and my personal favourite, the macaque monkey who took his own selfie. There are also a few really cool installations that will make you think twice about technology, but you have to see it to understand.

Without giving too much away, if you are in town, I highly recommend stopping by.

From Selfie to Self Expression is on till 31st May at the Saatchi Gallery, London.
