I love fashion films because its about creating an environment which advertises the garments/pieces in a unique way. Just like the collection itself, it has to tell a story. To me, the more abstract it is, the better. I think it has something to do with the music and movement of the models, its not just a photograph. Think about Chanel spreads in Vogue or Harper’s Bazar and the short films for example the one I posted a few weeks ago about Chanel in Bombay, there is a reason why both methods are used to market the brand. I think a fashion film captivates the concept of a project/collection better than a photographic spread. Here are a few fashion films I found today. What do you think? fashion film vs fashion photography? which one do you prefer?
